Philosophy
At CNS we believe that all children deserve love, guidance and respect for their individuality. We believe that children learn and grow to their fullest potential in an environment that supports their spiritual, physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. We believe that children learn about themselves and the world around them through meaningful interactive experiences. Our classrooms as well as outdoor areas are child-oriented and designed to encourage exploration and discovery.
Teachers, as facilitators of our program, plan and implement curriculum and activities for the specific ages and interests of the children in their classrooms. Values of kindness and good citizenship are modeled by a caring staff and emphasized at weekly Chapel Time. At CNS, children will build healthy relationships and learn the basic skills necessary for future success.
We provide numerous opportunities for parent participation as we respect the fact that families are partners in their child’s social and educational experiences. We celebrate cultural diversity and welcome families to share special traditions and holiday celebrations.
